On 12th of October, 2019 MISiS University will host Mendeleev Lab Science Quest dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table of chemical elements. The event is organised in partnership with Russian Science Foundation and NAUKA0+ science festival.
«Open Laba» is the biggest single-day international science quest held annually since 2017. It helps to learn about nature, technology and our origins and meet real scientists in person. You first self-check you knowledge answering several questions, some of them simple, and some of them not all, and then get the answers explained by experts in the field. At Open Laba you can learn about advances in chemistry, physics, biology and neuroscience, computer science and astronomy in a fun and friendly atmosphere.
At MISiS you will be able to do Mendeleev Lab in Russian, English and French. Separate questions for schoolchildren will be provided, so that they are not bored. Among the professors who will help you are chemists Mikhail Nechaev and Alexey Bobrovsky (Chemistry Department of Moscow State University).
Come earlier: before the quest you can follow the lectures on material science given by the leading experts of MISiS University and Russian Science Foundation. And dont rush to leave: Alexey Bobrovsky will perform a musical show after the quest. He plays the handmade drum set made of 50 drums and cymbals!
